Hola Amigos! WLHS welcomes Ms. Warren to the World Languages department. She is a graduate of North Lincoln High School. Her fiancé is her high school sweetheart. They are planning a wedding for later in the year. Ms. Warren earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During college, she was able to visit and study in Argentina. She is excited about her first year of teaching, and has decorated her room with Spanish art, llamas and bright colors. Ms. Warren is a native of Lincoln County and is proud of her Hungarian ancestry on her mother’s side. She also enjoys cooking and has a love of animals. She and her family raise and rehabilitate orphaned squirrels.

New Calculator in Town
Don’t spend money on expensive calculators! It’s true that classes no longer can use TI-84 graphing calculators in the classroom because of COVID restrictions, but it doesn’t mean you have to go without technology while at school or spend a lot of your own money on an expensive calculator. There is a free solution and arguably better than a graphing calculator.
Install Desmos Calculator on your smart phones, but make sure it’s the “test version”. There’s little difference between the regular version and the test version. The benefit of the test version is that it requires no internet connection. This stand-alone version can be used anywhere. It’s an incredibly powerful calculator and essential to learning math. Desmos Calculator Test Version is available for both Android and Apple phones.
