Message from the Principal
Dear Eisenhower Students and Families,
Thank you for another successful month of October. Students have settled in and have completed their first assignments in their courses. Our first season sports teams - Cross-Country, Softball, and Football - all finished strong! Winter 1 season begins November 7th with boy's basketball, volleyball, and boy's and girl's soccer. Please make sure your student athletes have all their paperwork turned in on Final Forms!
Symphonic band had an amazing spooky concert on Friday, September 28th and are preparing to perform at our Veteran's Day Assembly, along with our orchestra and choir, on November 10. We extend a warm invitation to any family members who are veterans to attend the assembly. It is at 1:40 on November 10th. Please remember to sign in at the office.
We were particularly interested in 3 critical goals to ensure student success at Eisenhower. Our school goals this year are focused on student achievement, safety, and social and emotional support, and it has been an excellent start to the first quarter of the year. We can keep Eisenhower Safe with the collective commitment from you and your students.
To keep up with the goals and expectations we wanted to let you know of some of the additional supports we have provided for students. Outside of having an advisory period, we have reached out to community partners such as PTSA, Natural Leaders, Seamar Behavioral Health, the YMCA MAPS program, and YMCA Big Brothers Big Sisters to stretch our resources as a community. More partnerships to come to support our school goals.
Sincerely,
Dr. Wilnic Gideon

Volunteer/Chaperone Opportunities and Process
Eisenhower Families - We are excited that with this new year we are able to open up the opportunity for you to become a volunteer or a chaperone at Eisenhower. To help you prepare to be more directly active in our community, we’d like to make you aware of the follow guidelines:
- To begin the process, please reach out to Eisenhower’s Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle Ferguson, at MFerguson@everettsd.org
- Please fill out the volunteer paperwork early. It can take several weeks for the application process to be completed and we don’t want you to have to wait.
- Family members who think they might become a field trip chaperone will need to go through the volunteer application process. Again, please do this as soon as possible so you’re able to help out without delay.
As a volunteer at Ike, you can:
- Help in classrooms (contact your students teacher to learn about what opportunities might be available).
- Help out in the library, nurse’s office, or on the playground.
- Work with small groups of students in reading, writing, or math.
- Help with field trips, parties or special events
- Supervise school dances
- Share your talents and experiences, interests or career in a classroom presentation or career fair or with a school club.
- Help with all-school events
- Become and art or science docent
- Help with the Everett Public Schools Foundation
