About Ms. Johnson
Hello! My name is Heather Johnson and I am thrilled to be a Special Education/Co-Teach/Resource teacher at Mahaffey. This is my 16th year of teaching. I was a general education classroom teacher for 13 years before moving into Special Education. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades, so I have a wide variety of elementary experience.
I grew up here in Houston and went to school in Aldine ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M University...WHOOP...in 1993!! Prior to teaching, I worked in the business world before deciding to stay home for two years to raise my first son. During that time, I was also earning my teaching certification. My first six years of teaching were spent teaching in Spring ISD.
I have three wild and crazy boys ages 11, 12, and 17, a spoiled yorkie named Lexi and a chubby bunny named Avida, which is "a diva" spelled backwards. We live nearby and my boys are students in Klein ISD. With three boys and being a teacher, I have to say that I think that I've seen and heard it all. My daily life is a flurry of activity from sun-up to sun-down and it certainly keeps me on my toes, but I love it. My oldest is a drum major in the Klein Oak Marching Band and my younger boys are active in sports, so I am shuttling kiddos around a lot. I don't have much free time, but when I do, I like to watch a little reality tv, read and exercise.
I am very excited to have the privilege of working at our beautiful campus with our wonderful little Scotties. This year will be a fun and exciting year!!

My Schedule
Ms. Johnson's Schedule
My schedule is built around the needs of my students and their schedules. It is a fluid schedule and will change. My primary grade levels that I service are 1st grade and 4th grade.
My conference time on Mon., Tues., Thurs., and Friday is 11:55 - 12:40.
What can you do at home?
We don't want the writer to describe every ride at Disneyland, or tell us that the Grand Canyon is awesome....If one of the rides at Disneyland got stuck, or if somebody fell into the awesome Grand Canyon, that would be worth hearing about.
