BJHS Weekly Newsletter for September 4-10, 2017
THANK YOU, BIDWELL STUDENTS!
Thanks for doing your part to keep our campus looking clean! We have noticed that the mural and covered areas are looking better each day for breakfast and lunch. Way to go Pioneers and keep up the good work!
SKATE NIGHT WAS A ROLLING SUCCESS!
OFF-CAMPUS PERMITS and VISITOR PASSES
Just a reminder, if you are signing your student off campus for any reason, you MUST stop in the main office first and check in with attendance. When ill, students are to check in with the school nurse, who verifies that the student is ill and calls home for the student to be picked up. Students are NOT to use their cell phones to call home during the day for any reason, especially illness. We must know when students are leaving campus at any time during the school day Can you put something in the newsletter reminding parents they need to check their student out in the main office during school hours.
Additionally, if you are coming onto campus for any reason before, during, or after the school day, you must sign in on the Visitor clipboard in the main office and get a Visitor sticker. To ensure the safety of our students, we must know that every adult on campus has checked in through the office. Students from other schools are not allowed to be on campus during the school day for any reason.
Students have 6 more weeks to make their AR goal!
Track your progress, sign up to receive e-mail updates, and access your AR bookshelf at Renaissance Home Connect (https://hosted12.renlearn.com/288231/HomeConnect/). Don't forget to look up your book levels and point values at AR Book Find ( http://www.arbookfind.com/UserType.aspx ).
PIONEERS TAKE TO THE STAGE!
Mr. Wardlow's history class acted out their historical method vocabulary AND got a chance to try our our brand new stage! Special thanks goes out to all of those involved who helped give our students a place to perform.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Thursday, Sep. 7th, 6:30pm
2376 North Avenue
Just a reminder as dress-down days and swim season start in PE, the main office does not run passes for forgotten items. We cannot continue to interrupt classes with the number of items we have dropped off in the office daily. Students have been reminded repeatedly in the Daily Bulletin to check up front if they have forgotten an item. Please remember to communicate with your student before school and ensure they have all the items they will need for their school day. Part of the development of student responsibility is dealing with the consequences of forgotten items.
SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

If you are interested in being a member of the council, please contact the main office. Responses must be made by Friday, September 8th.
