💡Reminder: Classes requested are not guaranteed and subject to availability/scheduling constraints
1. English
- English 1 Honors (Course placement recommendation: B grade or better in 8th grade CORE)
- English ELD (placement made by high school counselor)
- English Essentials (placement made by IEP team)
2. Math
🚩Your student will be placed in a math class based on their grades and 8th grade Mastery Checkpoint score.
- Algebra 1
- Algebra Enrichment (placement made by Mastery Checkpoint score and 8th grade math grades)
- Algebra 1 Ess (placement made by IEP team)
- Algebra 1 Honors (Course placement recommendation: A or strong B in 8th grade math and proficient 8th grade mastery checkpoint score)
- Geometry Honors (Course placement recommendation: A grade in Algebra 1)
- Algebra 2/Trig Honors (Course placement recommendation: A grade in Geometry Honors)
3. Science
- AP Biology (College level curriculum; strong study habits, skills and grades in science and math classes strongly recommended)
- Biology
- Principles of BioMed
- Life Science Ess (placement made by IEP team)
4. World Language
- Spanish 1
- Spanish for Native Speakers (placement will be based on language assessment)
- French 1
5. Physical Education
- PE
- Sport: Students wishing to participate in a sport MUST TRY OUT. Team websites and coach's contact information can be found here . It is strongly recommended that students attend their desired sports' summer camp, if available. Reach out to coaches for more information.
