Staffing Updates
We are really looking forward to welcoming back Mrs Elcock who will be returning to work with the school leading our orchestra from the beginning of the spring term. This means that we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Jelf at the end of this term, who has covered Mrs Elcock’s maternity leave since March. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Jelf for all her hard work and support with music education at our school.
It is with some sadness, that I need to let you know that Mrs Binks will be leaving us at February half term. I have known Mrs Binks for over 25 years while she has worked at Ripon Cathedral School providing a quality start for so many children in our community. She has decided that it is the right time for her to take on a new challenge in her career at a school in Harrogate. I trust that we will all ensure that we enjoy our final half term with Mrs Binks and celebrate the amazing contribution that she has given to our school.
The governors have already started the recruitment for a new early years leader and we will inform you about their progress in due course.

were incredible. Mrs Moore confirms that the children have definitely learned a great deal and sends a big thank you to parents for their support. Some have told her they have learned more than the children!
Tag Rugby After School Club
We will be continuing to offer our tag rugby after school club on Tuesdays next term. It will be open to years 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the sessions last for one hour. Jon Steel, ex-international pro rugby player will be taking the classes again, which will start on 14th January and run up until the Easter break. Children will learn various skills including catching, passing, kicking, teamwork and tag through different games and activities.
If your child is already attending then you will receive an email with details of how to re-book. If your child has not attended before but would like to, then please go to: https://rugbytots.co.uk/Ripon/Class/Details/47894 and follow the steps to book. Message from the Friends
Well we can't believe it's nearly the end of term! Only one more week until we break up for Christmas. We've had a great half term with the school disco and Christmas fair!
We raised a fantastic amount at the Christmas fair. The grand total is £1,300.54!
We'd like to thank everyone again for coming along to the fair. Raffle prize winners have been contacted this week, so please come in and collect your prizes.
Next week we will be sending home the 'Bags2School' bags for you to fill over the Christmas holidays and send back into school for Thursday 16th January 2020.
Have a great weekend everyone!
