Florida DOE releases Graduation Rates

Congratulations to Spoto High School for an outstanding job! The Florida Department of Education released its official graduation rates today. We achieved an 92% graduation rate which is OUTSTANDING! Spoto High School Class of 2022 was above the district and state average with an 11.3% increase from 2019.THANK YOU to our students, teachers, student services team, instructional support team, administration, and families! We are Spartan Strong, we did it! Keep up the good work!

ASVAB Testing- January 19th at 8:45 a.m.

ASVAB Test- January 19th- 10th-12th Grade

If you are interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery), please see your Guidance Counselor, or Commander Lewis-room3-318 Master Chief Green-room 3-320 o sign up for the ASVAB. The test will be held on Thursday, January 19th @ 8:45 a.m. in the SHS Media Center. All sign-ups must be completed before Wednesday, January 18th.

Lady Spartan Softball Interest Meeting & Tryout Information

Come out on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, and meet new Head Softball Coach Kimberlee Moore at 6:00 in the Spoto media center for all girls interested in softball.


Try-outs will start on Monday, January 23 and 24th at 4:30pm-6:30pm at the softball field. Athletes must have an approved athletic packet for softball to try-out. Athletic packet information can be located at the Spoto website under the athletics tab.

2023 Student Service Program - Ryan Nece Foundation

The Student Service Program positively impacts teens in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties by teaching them the principles needed to become the next generation of servant leaders in our community dedicated to lifelong volunteerism, philanthropy, and civic responsibility. This two-year program trains high school juniors to look beyond themselves, lead with empathy, and how to strategically serve their community and those in need. Candidates are rising juniors (current sophomores) at the time of applying. Meet our alumni here.

Feeding Tampa Bay has a new 7-week high school summer program called ‘Catalyst’! This is a volunteer, educational, and leadership development program that teaches about the intersections of food insecurity as well as ways to be advocates for change. We are set to launch this summer and will be conducting informational sessions on-site throughout the community. Applications launch on February 28th and will be open until April 24th.
