BCSD Personnel
October 2021
Welcome Back!
Welcome to a new school year for all of our returning staff and welcome to BSCD for all those who joined us over the past several months. We are so happy to have you all with us. It was an intense summer.
A huge shout out to Kelsey, Glenda, Cindy and Jaime for all the work involved with hiring and onboarding.
This year we will continue to keep you all updated on important topics from the Personnel Office. Please feel free to share suggestions for topics that you would like to see addressed in our communications.
As we did last year we will continue to archive the newsletters on our Personnel Office page so that you are able to access them for future reference.
Personnel Changes
We would like to introduce our newest member to the Personnel Office, Jaime Florance, who was just recently promoted and previously worked as the building secretary at East Middle. Jaime has also been an Aide in the district and is familiar with our staff and students. With her experience we know she will make a smooth transition. Jaime will be your point of contact for all Personnel inquiries and will handle verification of employment for loan forgiveness, prior service verification, etc. Jaime can be reached at 762-8100 ext: 312 or by email FlorancJ@binghamtonschools.org

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Take a few minutes to check out the attached flyer from Excellus BCBS. It lets you know the warning signs to look for and what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones against breast cancer. Plus, the routine screenings that are so important are fully covered for women over 40 by our health plan.
If you need a little extra inspiration, check out these Fearless Nation Spotify playlists designed to get you moving, help you relax, or remind you that “you’ve got this.”
Safe Schools
All employees are required to complete the new SafeSchools training for the 2021-2022 school year. The trainings were due October 1, 2021.
An email was sent to all employees BUT you can also access SafeSchools by logging into your “My Apps” page on the district website. The link will automatically log you in. If you are having a trouble with the trainings, please contact Kelsey Dennison at dennisok@binghamtonschools.org
Personal Information Updates
If you have made any personal changes over the summer such as addresses or name changes, please contact Personnel at 607-762-8100 so we can update our systems.
If you change your address, please update your information in OneLink. You will also need to update your information with your retirement system. The forms to update your address can be found in the Document Library in OneLink. https://onegroup.employeenavigator.com/
