Speech to Text Software for Mac Users (Dictation)

Today, technology touches the lives of all people. It is important that technology is accessible and usable to all individuals. This includes individuals with disabilities.

How Does It Work?

Using the microphone on the computer, individuals can talk to the computer and it will type their words. This is extremely beneficial for students with weak motor skills or vision difficulties. The software is also helpful for people with reading and writing disabilities because they do not need to spell out their words.

Step One:

Click on the apple icon on the left side of your computer screen.

On the drag down menu, click System Preferences.
