Greetings SkyHawk Families!

Happy first day of February! We hope you are excited for Term 3! Our staff can not wait to meet you on Wednesday!

  • Wednesday, we have our “Meet and Greet” for Session Two parents at 9:00 AM. Please log on to Teams for a brief introduction from Summit’s administrators and then to meet each of your student’s teachers. This will be similar to the Back to School Night we had in the Fall.

  • We still have Grab and Go Meals on Wednesdays between 9:00 - 11:00 AM and 2:00 - 5:00 PM.

  • February has been designated as Black History Month by every American president since 1976. The Black History Month 2021 theme is “Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.” Our ASB will be having an essay contest to celebrate. More information will be forthcoming shortly from our ASB Director, Mr. Cerda.

  • It is National Counselor Appreciation Week, and we are thankful for our amazing counseling team at Summit!

  • Some exciting and long-awaited news is that we will be breaking ground on our new track and field on Monday, February 8th. Yay! Hopefully, you can drive by occasionally and watch the progress.

  • Monday, February 8th, there will be no school in recognition of Lincoln’s birthday. There will also be no school on Monday, February 15th in recognition of President’s Day. Enjoy your time off.

  • If any of you missed Senior Parent Night, here is the Power Point presented that evening. You can email our ASB Director, Mr. Cerda, with any questions that you may have.

  • Class of 2022, if you missed the registration presentation for the 2021-2022 school year, please contact your counselor as soon as possible.

  • Fontana Adult School is offering “Getting Started With Computers” workshops. Morning and afternoon sessions begin on February 10th. These workshops are provided in-person at the Adult School, and they’re FREE! For more information, please call Fontana Adult School at (909) 357-5490.

  • IEHP and Molina Healthcare are providing low-cost or no cost coverage for our families. Please visit or call 1 (866) 822-7759 for more information.
