From our Headmaster...

Dear Denton Classical Academy Families,

I hope everyone had a relaxing and wonderful Spring Break! I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and finishing up our third quarter! We have two more weeks until the fourth quarter begins (March 29th). Prior to spring break, you should have received an email through Parent Square that requested your decision for fourth quarter learning (in-person or remote learning). This is due by March 16th. Please reach out to me with any questions regarding this process.

Due to the winter weather and the following week of repairs that the building needed, we have put in a waiver with the TEA to not have to make up these days. If our waiver is accepted, we will not have to use our bad weather day in April and/or need to extend the school year. Once I have final confirmation on if the waiver has been approved by the TEA, I will communicate that with the community.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Have a great rest of your break.

Protective Measures for this week

Each Friday, the county risk for Covid 19 is assessed by our Home Office and modifications of protective measures are implemented for the following week, if needed. At this time, the first page of our website states: "Our campus will adopt the protective measures found under 'Substantial Activity' in our ResponsiveEd Covid-19 Health and Safety Guidelines this week. Among other practices, this means that students in Grades PK - 12 will wear face coverings when it is not feasible to maintain a distance of at least six (6) feet from other individuals, including in classrooms. Thank you for your partnership in the safety of the students and staff on our campus." For more information, please refer to our website:

This Day In History: March 14, 1995 - First Time To Have 13 People In Space

On March 14, 1995, a record number of thirteen people were in space at one time. Seven of them were Americans that were on the STS 67 Endeavour, three cosmonauts were on the Mir space station, and an astronaut from the United States, along with two cosmonauts, were aboard Soyuz TM21.

Since then, we've had 13 people in space twice - March 2009 and July 2009.
