Auction 2018 is coming March 16 - Donations needed!!!
Auction 2018
The purpose is for 4:12 members to earn money for their account. This is especially to focus on raising funds for those that are going on the mission trip to Haiti, but can also be used for church events like the retreats, or upcoming events we offer. There will be many ways to earn money based on a points system.
Business Routes – We need you to sign up to solicit area businesses (according to given routes) for donations/items to be auctioned off. Also for sponsorships. This task requires hard work and persistence. Within a two week period you will need to visit the businesses once or twice depending on your first contact. They may need a third visit to pick up the donation if the business requires that. This is a very important task for a successful auction. If businesses don’t get contacted then we won’t have items to auction off – so if you know you won’t have time to make the appropriate contacts, please do not sign up for a route. Routes will be offered to those planning to go to Haiti first. PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY SATURDAY IF YOU WOULD LIKE A ROUTE!!!!
Call List – This will be determined by the leaders as needed for you to call members of the congregation or businesses for various reasons.
Writers List – Also to be determined by leaders, you are needed to hand write Thank You notes to various businesses and congregation members.
Additional Support – If you have a business you or your parents work for, relatives or neighbors that are NOT already on our list you are encouraged to ask them to donate an item or be a sponsor for the auction. Contact Vonnie if you have questions about a particular business being on our list. (if you have a personal contact we can remove it from a business route list if they haven’t yet been assigned). Again, having items to auction off will be what makes the auction successful.
Set-up for the Auction – Thursday March 14, and Friday March 15 We need you to set up for the Auction.
Auction Day Saturday, March 16 – We are planning on all of our youth to work the FULL time of the auction, from supper/sign in to the final locking up of the church after cleaning up. We will have a wide variety of places to put you to work!
Also, as a bonus, each 4:12 youth member can start to think of ONE item, if they would like to donate to the auction, then the money earned from that item will go into their account. This “item” needs to be present at the auction the night of set up (no services will be accepted). If the youth donates an item they HAVE to work the FULL auction day to receive credit for that item.
A request for parents – if you have a connection with a business or company that we could purchase items “at cost or below cost” to be auctioned off, would you please contact Vonnie via email at cnv2005@att.net.
