In addition to the classroom teacher, please also contact the main office at (402) 390-6480 or drelicharz.cristina@westside66.net with any information related to your child's attendance.

This includes:

•Late Arrival-include lunch preference

•Absence-include reason for absence

•Early pick up/appointments

•Change of pick up arrangements

If your student is not in their classroom by 8:30 am they must come to the main office to sign in or they will be counted absent. Students coming or going during the day for appointments, illness, etc also must sign in and out through the main office.

Morning Arrival

Our school day begins at 8:30 am. Drop off time for breakfast is 8:10 am. All other students will be able to enter the building at 8:20 am. As long as the temperature is not below a "feels like" temperature of 10 degrees, your student will be asked to wait outside. Please make sure they are dressed accordingly.

Wednesday Dismissal

Every Wednesday we will end the school day at 3:00 pm instead of 3:30 pm. This gives our teachers throughout the District collaboration time by attending weekly professional learning communities.

Face Masks

Face masks are required in our building. Please double check that your child has a face mask that fits properly before coming to school.

Water Bottles

Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle every day.

After School Plans

Please remember that after school plans should be made in the morning. Students are expected to be off school grounds by 3:45 pm (3:15 pm on Wednesdays). Each child should know what the after school plan is. Students going home with another child after school should make plans ahead of time.

Please remember to notify the school if there is an unexpected change of after school plans for your child. If you know in the morning, a note to the teacher and main office is always appreciated. We appreciate your cooperation in making sure your child is safe.

Westside Community Schools Holiday Assistance

Dear Parent/Guardian:

It’s hard to believe but the holiday season is right around the corner. As part of the Westside Community Schools family, we are fortunate to have some groups and organizations that are generous in many ways, especially when it comes to helping children.

Each year, several churches in the community, community service clubs and individual donors offer to help students whose families may be experiencing some temporary financial setbacks due to the tough economic times. These groups often donate a food basket, clothing and/or gifts. These items are meant to assist you in what you are already providing for your family.

If your family is not receiving assistance from other organizations, we are here to provide support. If you need assistance during the holiday season, please contact your school psychologist/counselor or school social worker.

Please know that we are here at all times of the year to assist you and your child (ren). If we can answer any questions, please don’t hesitate to call.

Need Additional Support?

Westside has a team of School Social Workers who function as a link between the home, school and community. They can assist families who are experiencing social, familial and/or economic challenges that impact the learning process. This includes helping to pay utility bills and access to our Westside Family Resource Center.
