The National Palace Of Mexico

The National Palace of Mexico is the seat of the Federal Executive in Mexico. It is located in Mexico City's main square in the Plaza de la Constitucion (El Zocalo). This site has been the palace ruling for Mexico since the Aztec Empire. It is used for and classified as a Government Building and is also home for the offices of both the Federal Treasury and the National Archieves.

This is where Miguel Hidalgo rang the Bell on September 15, 1810 ate the start of the Wr of Independence. Now the President rings the bell every September 15at 11:00 pm and repeats the "Grito de Dolores" from the balcony. Many people go to see this event and celebrate the Independence of Mexico.
