Golbow Elementary Field Day 2014 Important Information
Wednesday May 21, 2014
Dear Golbow Parents and Students,
This year field day will be held from 9:00-2:15. If you are a parent that is planning on a attending, please report to Coach Thuesen so he can give you a station to volunteer at. Here is a list of a few things you may want your child to bring: hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen which is highly recommended and must be put on at home, due to student allergies. Please write your child’s name in permanent ink on anything they bring to field day, so that if it is misplaced, it can be returned to your child. All students will receive a special souvenir water bottle to use during field day which will be sent home on Tuesday, 5/20. Please write your child’s name and homeroom teacher on this bottle and fill it with water and have them bring it on field day (5/21). Feel free to write their name on the bottle and cap so they do not lose it and please do not freeze the bottles overnight. Students will also receive a frozen snack at one of their field day stations. Please remember, that only Golbow students may participate in field day activities, younger or older siblings are not allowed on campus. The lunch schedule will be changed slightly to allow all of our students to enjoy the activities.
The lunch schedule for Wednesday, 5/21 is as follows:
2nd grade lunch = 12:25-12:55
Colors for your student to wear on field day
2nd: Sapphire (blue)
Thank you for your help and we look forward to an exciting and fun Golbow Elementary Field day 2014!
Sincerely,
Coach Thuesen and Coach VasquezJ
Also, please remember that students should have all library books turned in.
Fantastic Golbow Parents our students need your help. Our PTA is currently seeking officers for our school for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. Golbow Elementary’s PTA puts together functions throughout the school year for our students, provides funding for our students and plays a critical part of their elementary experience. The upcoming school year has several positions open and if they are not filled a lot of the events that students enjoy throughout the school year will unfortunately have to be canceled. We would love for you to sign up as an officer. If you are interested please email your child’s homeroom teacher or Tiffany our current PTA president. (savedthroughchrist@ymail.com)
Thank you and we appreciate your support of our PTA as we strive for 100% participation!
