Mrs. Dayton's Class
Julius Caesar Play
Also, students have been asked to bring in a solid colored bed sheet as a part of their costume. You will have the bed sheet returned (unharmed! :)). If possible, please send a bed sheet by Wednesday, Feb. 10th.
In addition to reading and rehearsing the play, the students also spent time analyzing various aspects of the play. We discussed how 'Julius Caesar' is an allegory because of Shakespeare's views on the political climate in England at the time. We also wrote brief persuasive arguments for Caesar, Brutus, and Antony being the protagonist of the play. In our discussion, we shared positive character traits as well as some of their tragic flaws.
