The Scooper Thespian Society Presents "Storyville"
The Children's Show was started in 1993 by June Dill. At that time, the drama club travelled to the schools to share the experience of live theatre with the students of the Meade School District. It was so greatly received that the show was eventually moved to the Sturgis Community Center so the students could fully partake in live theatre! It has since expanded to six shows in two days which includes two community performances in the evenings. This is a tradition for the SBHS drama club that is anticipated by performers and audience alike! Come celebrate 30 years with us and be part of the tradition!

Senior Honor Choir
The South Dakota High School Honor Choir is a unique experience that draws up to 150 auditioned high school students together for a week of intensive singing at a choral camp under the direction of a respected choral conductor, culminating in a presentation of choral works representing the finest works of western art.
Sturgis Brown High School sophomore, Allyson Tish, was selected to participate in this year's Senior Honor Choir as an Alto in July. Congratulations Allyson!

Bringing back a tradition, senior ad spaces are now available for purchase in the May 2023 Bear Butte Breezes graduation issue. To secure a spot, please fill out and return this Senior Ad Form ASAP with $10. Photos may be submitted digitally with the Senior Ad Form to teresa.froelich@k12.sd.us. They can also be dropped off at the high school or mailed to SBHS Journalism Media, 12930 E. Hwy. 34, Sturgis, SD 57788. Email addresses must be provided to receive a digital proof.
After-School Program
The After-School Program is available in the library from 3:15-5:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Three teachers will be available to help students with homework. Students should arrive by 3:30 p.m. but can leave whenever they complete their work if they have their own ride. Students who need a late bus pass are required to stay until 5:15 p.m. Any questions, contact Mrs. Buchholz at sandra.buchholz@k12.sd.us.
