What's Happening in the Second Nine Weeks?
Welcome to 7th Grade, Wolverines! We are having a great time in the 7th grade hallway.
Check out the information below about the second nine-weeks.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS AND READING
Unit 2: Reality Check
In this unit, students will read short stories, a magazine article, a folk tale, and poems to answer the essential question, "What can blur the lines between what's real and what's not?"
Unit 3: Inspired by Nature
In this unit, students will read an article, a memoir, and various short texts to answer the essential question, "What does it mean to be in harmony with nature?"
During the first week of December, students will be taking an online district interim assessment.
Unit 3 CBAs will occur during the week of December 16-19.
Ms. Field and Mr. Craig will be available on Tuesday afternoons for tutoring.
7th grade Math:
Unit 2: Solving one variable equations (algebra)
7th grade Advanced Math:
Unit 2: Solving multi-step equations with variables on both sides (algebra)
Students will have district required assessments during the last week of the semester.
Homework is assigned every Monday and due Thursday
Mrs. Wall is available after school Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Ms. Klepinger is available on Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:30.
This unit covers Body Systems including:
Digestive, Circulatory, Respiratory
This unit covers Organ Systems and Homeostasis
Students will have district assessments during the last week of school before break.
Homework will be given on Monday and be due on Friday.
Ms. Harvey is available for tutoring on Wednesday afternoons.
Mr. Machado is available for tutoring on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Students will have district required assessments during the last week of school before Christmas break.
Coach Ramos and Coach Travis will begin tutorials after football season.
