West High Fights Hunger with Annual Food Drive

November 30th marks the start of Student Senate's annual food drive. This drive collects non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Crisis Center. This year we have a few competitions and incentives for students to donate items:

-There is a competition between City High and West High to see which school can collect the most food, as measured by weight.

-Students can turn 10 cans in to the main office to excuse a West High parking ticket. (This works for up to 3 parking tickets).

-Underclassmen and upperclassmen will compete in hopes of turning in more food items. Designated turn-in rooms are Mr. Davis, Mr. Hartwig, Ms. Harms, and Ms. Head for underclassmen, and Mr. Frese, Mr. Gross, Ms. Nigg, and Sra. Seidel for upperclassmen. Please encourage students to turn their items in to one of these teachers' rooms if they wish for them to count toward the underclassmen/upperclassmen competition.

The final day of collection is December 17th.
