About Me
Hello! I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. I have a B.A. in both Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Missouri-KC, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Ph.D. in Ethics & Practical Theology from the University of Edinburgh. I served as a youth, college, and small group pastor in the local church for over 12 years. Currently, I serve as Faculty Chair of the Bible Department at Enlightium Academy while also teaching courses in both Philosophy and Ethics at Pearl River Community College and Hutchinson Community College. In my spare time, I enjoy fly fishing, board games, disc golf, and spending time with family and friends. I also appreciate a good cup of coffee.

What Do I Expect From Students?
- Put forth effort. If a student isn't giving their best effort, there is very little that I can do to help.
- Have a positive attitude. Whether you are excelling or struggling in a particular subject, attitude makes all of the difference.
- Be respectful. We all get frustrated at times. I don't mind emotion, but be sure to remain respectful in all of your communication.
- Challenge the process. Whether it is one of my comments, ideas, or something in Ignitia, have the courage to push back at times! This is how you learn and grow in confidence.
- Have integrity. Submitting honest work is extremely important and something I take very seriously both as a Christ-follower and educator.
- Be a learner. Education is not about making good grades. It is an opportunity to learn about God, yourself, others, and the world around you. Learning is a key element in the maturation process.
4:30 am - 2:30 pm PT
I take occasional breaks off and on throughout the day, but this is the general time frame when I am working and available.
