Writing Minilesson
The videos below is an example of a writing mini-lesson. These are third grade students, however you can see the practices that are applicable at any grade level. Take a look and have some discussions within your PLC about those practices that you see that could be beneficial to your students. Also, if you didn't get a chance to review the writer's workshop materials from last week's notes, they are still below.

Planning For Writing Workshop
The link below will provide some details on planning for writing workshop as well as some tools that can be used during planning. Review and discuss with your PLC and reflect on how your planning and if adjustments need to me made for a quality implementation for your students.
Writing Workshop...an overview
The link below has a great overview of writing workshop and also a reflection tool that you can you to reflect on where you are with implementation. For some this is new, for others you have been attempting to implement and are fine tuning. Where ever you are on your journey, the key is to keep researching, reflecting on your own and with your plc and analyze the practices to see if you see improvement in your students writing.
