IMLEA Monday Minute

Looking Forward to Our Conference! Early Registration Deadline: August 15

Administrators are back and many schools have already started. We hope your plans for a successful 2017-18 year involve sending a team to our conference on September 17-18. With just a slight increase in cost, we have expanded to a second day and were able to secure Todd Whitaker as our keynote speaker. Todd is one of the leading education speakers in the world; his messages connect with administrators, teachers, and anyone involved in schools.

You can take advantage of the early bird rate through August 15. Even if you are not sure of all the participants for your team, you can register now and send names later. You can send of team of 5 admins/teachers for under $600. A list of sessions and presenters is available on the website as well. The group hotel rate is available through August 18.

Want a Preview? Join an Informal Voxer Discussion on one of Todd Whitaker's Books

In addition to being a dynamic speaker, Todd Whitaker is a successful author, writing books alone and collaborating with a number of other educators (including his own daughters). One recent book is Start Right Now: Teach and Lead for Excellence. This book has numerous anecdotes and very practical suggestions for administrators, teachers, and other educators. It has been the subject of various book studies and twitter chats this summer. If you would like to participate in an informal Voxer chat about the book, or anything else middle level, feel free to join our IMLEA Voxer group. If you have any questions about this or Voxer in general, feel free to email me at shighleyimlea@iasp.org
