A Letter From Dr. Carey
A Letter From Dr. Carey Jan 21, 2022
Dear Enumclaw School District Community,
The Enumclaw School Board administered a survey to gather parent/guardian feedback on COVID-19 Safety Protocols and Preventive Measures. The purpose of the survey was to gather information from a large cross-section of the school community. Thank you for your participation.
The outcomes of this survey do not change current practices related to the preventative measures mandated by the State of Washington. However, the School Board intends to share the results with decision-making organizations next week.
The results of the survey are attached below and are also available on our website:

Educational Programs & Operations Levy 2022- Did you know?
Levy renewals continue funding for Enumclaw School District programs and services that benefit students.
The Educational Programs & Operations Levy provides funding for transportation for ESD students.
“We have 65 permitted vehicles through the state of Washington to transport our children daily, we also maintain our white fleet to transport sports teams and such, we also help maintain the grounds, facilities and equipment” David Guyant Head Mechanic
“Transportation can be a challenge because of a nationwide driver shortage… but it is a really fun place to work for and our drivers here are so cautious and safe and they think about their kids, it is a small community and you get so attached to the kids. You are the first one they see in the morning and the last one they see in the afternoon and that is kinda special” Kami Clark

Voluntary COVID Testing Opportunities
The Voluntary PCR COVID Testing Program Has Returned for All Enumclaw School District Staff
In collaboration with the state Department of Health, our school district will continue to participate in a state-funded program for voluntary COVID-19 screening and testing that will help contain the virus, protect our communities, and keep students and teachers healthy and safe.
This testing protocol fits into our larger strategy to contain and control the virus. We have adapted our operational practices to allow for proper countermeasures. Each precaution we take is an added layer of protection, and when used together, dramatically decreases the risk.
Testing Opportunities for Students and Families
The King County COVID testing site located next to EMS will remain open and will continue to provide access to PCR COVID testing for students and the community. For additional information on the testing site or to make an appointment please visit the link below.
