Gilbert Public Schools Family Newsletter - May 22, 2020
This is not how any of us anticipated ending the 2019/20 school year, but our combined efforts have helped protect our friends, families, and neighbors, and have supported our students to continue to learn and grow during this unprecedented time.
Despite the challenges our community is stronger than ever as we look forward to the summer and the new school year. This week I shared an update on planning for next year which you can view below. Please know we will continue to connect with you and update you over the summer as decisions are made. The health, safety, and emotional wellbeing of our students remain our top priorities.
Last night we celebrated our Class of 2020 with seven live-streamed graduation ceremonies. The fortitude and camaraderie of our seniors during this time has been inspiring. Seniors, as you go out into the world I am filled with pride that you represent the great tradition of graduates from Gilbert Public Schools.
To all of our students, well done! You have risen to the challenges and amazed me with your commitment to your learning and support for each other.
Parents and families, thank you! Gilbert Public Schools is a family that includes all of our students, staff, and our parents and families. Together we will continue to do great things! Please take care of yourselves and each other over the summer.
