In honor of the new Minecraft game that was released last week, here are some Minecraft activities and resources for you to check out.
Coding with Minecraft
Want to try coding but not sure where to start? Learn with Minecraft! Choose the program you want to do, watch the tutorial video, then complete the coding tasks and challenges.
Read about Minecraft
Did you know OverDrive has 60 books about Minecraft? You can see them all here. There are fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels available. To check out a book, use your Library Go barcode number (22091600+ID number). The book you want is checked out? Just put it on hold! When it's available it will automatically be checked out to you.
Create Pixel Art
Pixel art uses tiny squares, or pixels, to make a picture. Create your own digital drawings using this program from ABCya.com.
Write a Minecraft Story
Want to write a Minecraft story but not sure how to do it? Use this story map to help you plan! Once you are done you can create your story using the Book Creator app or make a video or audio recording on your iPad.
