A Note From Your Executive Director...

Team,

We have finally arrived to our last week of state testing for our students. Everyone has worked hard throughout the year to reach campus goals and now it's up to the students to perform on their own!

This is also the perfect time to ensure that teachers review their ACP blueprints and that TEKS are spiraled into instruction over the next two weeks. Our end of year ACPs are around the corner so we have an opportunity to tighten up!

I am pleased to report that MOST vacancies within our feeder are filled. The majority of the vacancies left are at the secondary level. Thank you to everyone who participated in the job fair. Beginning the year with ZERO vacancies is the absolute goal. :)

Here's to a great week of teaching and learning!

Ms. Hill

Principal & AP Evaluation Instrument

The Systems Review portion of the Principal Evaluation will occur between May 24-June 9. Calendar appointments have been sent. During this first meeting, you will present your binders via PowerPoint during your 2 hour appointment.

The second meeting of the Systems Review for Principals will occur between June 13-23. This will be a one hour meeting where performance ratings will be assigned and shared with each principal.

PLEASE NOTE: The Assistant Principal Evaluations need to be complete during this same time frame. (Rubric, Goals, Systems) The Systems portion of the AP Evaluation will be derived from the Systems rating that the principal receives. The idea here is that Principals and Assistant Principals work together for student success. Each play an important role into the overall rating of the school.

ALSO REMEMBER YOUR COUNSELOR EVALUATIONS! :)

FEEDER KUDOS!

THE PRINCIPAL 50

Critical Leadership Questions for Inspiring Schoolwide Excellence

Chapter 8: Professional Development for the Leader

QUESTION: Do I and members of my staff visit schools with successful instructional programs?

Successful schools find ways to observe EXCELLENCE in action at other schools. Successful principals do not lead in isolation. You have got to network and forge relations with others, especially with those who have "figured it out".

My charge to you is to reach out to schools with similar demographics as yours. Spend time observing classroom instruction and the overall operation of the school. Many times we can get inundated with day-to-day operations that we may not realize that there are more efficient ways of doing things. Work with each other, Collaborate with each other. Learn from each other.

Here's to a great week of teaching and learning!

SUMMER LEARNING FOR TEACHERS

Principals,

As discussed during our last feeder meeting, we have the great opportunity to assist teachers with attending professional development geared toward their areas of need. Below are buttons for you to click to access the necessary documents for this process. While the form is not an absolute requirement, it is a best practice to have formal conversations with teachers around strengths and growth areas. Please use the forms at your discretion with the commitment that you will ensure that teachers leave for the summer knowing what they are to attend this summer.

You will need to login with your Google Account information to access the forms below. Should you have any questions, please reach out to me.
