Kennedy School Culture News
Purpose: Celebrating Kennedy Greatness
September 13th Meeting Notes
The team met today and brainstormed many ideas of how we can create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment for both students and staff. We focused on the following areas:
- What are Positive, Proactive, and Preventative practices that work?
- How do we increase student leadership?
- How do we celebrate Reading and Math growth?
- What can we do to create positive energy for staff?
- What should we have on our assembly agendas?
- Other ideas....
We have some great ideas moving forward. Pam, Shanna, and I will organize the information and the School Culture will meet again soon to discuss the next steps.
Kennedy Cub Wrist Bands
Each student and staff member will receive a Kennedy Cub wrist band on Wednesday. Together we are Kennedy and wearing it means you are ready to take on the responsibility it takes to be the best. Wear it proudly!
"Kindness in Chalk" event on October 3rd
We will be doing a Kindness in Chalk event on October 3rd at 1:00. This is an anti-bullying movement to help bring awareness to stopping bullying in schools. The PTO has agreed to get sidewalk chalk for each classroom. At 1:00 we will all go outside and spread kindness by covering the school grounds with positive words, phrases, quotes, and images that speak love, peace, hope, and acceptance with the intention of bringing smiles to the faces that it need it the most.
More information to come as we get closer. Thanks!
