Students in grades 10-12 shall qualify to be exempt from taking the semester test in a class when they have: (a) maintained a “B” average for the semester; (b) absent 8 days or less (combined parent and doctor excused absences); and (c) not been suspended from school. All absences except those designated as school business will be counted in determining eligibility for the exemption. ACT scores for Juniors
- An ACT score report will be mailed to the physical address the student provided on the pre-testing information. This score report is usually mailed to students 2 - 8 weeks after ACT receives the student's completed answer document. Students can expect to recieve their scores around the last week of March; however, it could take as long as the end of April before their scores arrive in the mail.
- Students who have taken the ACT prior to the one given at CHS on February 27th may already have an online ACT Account. It is possible that their scores from the February 27th test could be posted on this account, BUT it may be awhile before this happens. It could be early May before the scores from the February exam are posted to existing online ACT Accounts.
- Students who do not currently have an online ACT Account are highly discouraged from creating one until they have received their score report from the February exam in the mail. Doing so before then could create problems in reporting the scores of future ACT Tests he/she may take.

CHS Check Out Policy
CHS students will be allowed to check out with a parent/guardian note only. A parent/guardian phone number will need to be included on the checkout note for verification purposes.
***No phone call checkouts will be allowed because of safety concerns.
CHS is a closed campus and we strongly discourage students from checking out at lunch. This typically causes unnecessary tardies and classroom interruptions. If a student is checking out at lunch, a parent/guardian must physically come in and sign the student out and them back in from lunch.
Only a parent/guardian is allowed to drop lunch off for a student. If a parent/guardian is dropping off lunch for a student, there will be a table (outside the office) with a sharpie for the students name to be written on it. Students should know in advance that lunch is being dropped off to them.
