COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
A new Facebook page developed by BG community members . . .
Here is the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/282349706258344/?fref=nf
A group of BG community members formed a Facebook page: Adopt Beech Grove Senior
to help recognize our Class of 2020. This Facebook page or program is NOT BGCS sponsored. Parents: this is NOT mandatory. This is an effort by some of our community members to recognize our BGHS Seniors. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE, here are the group's instructions:
How to post your Senior for adoption!
1. Make one post on the newsfeed. Feel free to list accomplishments, fun facts, and even a picture if you feel comfortable.
2. Please start the top of the post with "NOT ADOPTED" This will need to be changed to "ADOPTED" once your senior is adopted.
3. Please only post one original post. This is to help keep things organized.
4. The original post can be "bumped" every 24 hours if they have not been adopted. Just go in an type "bump" in the comments of the original post.
5. If it is a Senior and not a parent posting for adoption please tag your parent or guardian so the person adopting can contact them for information. Senior....if you are 18 you can handle this yourself.
6. Please only give information you are comfortable with. They should only need a mailing address or PO box.
7. Parents please make sure info is screening through you first..The communication should be between parents and adopter. Please go with your gut instincts. Please understand that even with us approving all member request people with bad intentions could still make it onto the page. They look like we do, they don't advertise their motives. Thankfully we are a small community and we all usually know at least one person that knows each person.
8. Please do not put your address in people's comments where everyone can see it.
How to adopt a Senior!
1. Find a profile on the newsfeed that you would like to adopt.
2. Contact the poster if they are the parent/guardian or the person tagged if the senior posted.
3. Speak with the parent/guardian about what you will do for your senior and get mailing address for gift/card etc to be sent. Feel free to use a PO box.
4. Feel free to adopt more than one senior. If there are no seniors left to adopt or if you personally know a senior and want to adopt more than one or one that was already adopted. Have fun!!
