Happy Holidays and Thank You!
I want to wish the happiest of holidays to all of my Room 3 Families! As we close out this calendar year and look forward to the next one, I just want to say the number one thing I was thankful for this holiday season was all of you. Please enjoy these next two weeks off with your friends and family (and maybe do a little bit of Reading or Math too). Also, I want to give the biggest thank you to everyone for my AMAZING gifts! I have not stopped smiling since I opened them!

Fun With Decimals!
We have all finished up with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of decimals. If your students want to practice some of their math skills over the break, one idea is to give them your grocery receipt, or make up some prices. Ask them to figure out what specifically they can buy with that much money. If they were making a family dinner and only had a specific amount, what all would they spend their money on?
Geography Update!
As you may or may not have heard, we are in the thick of things with all of our learning about the United States. Alphabetically, we are in the middle of the M's (time for Mississippi), as well as on our second round of partner state presentations. We are also learning about the first US colonies in Social Studies. Ask your student what colony they are creating their billboard for!
