What's Happening at Baxter
February - Compassion & Respect
What's on Mr. Shunneson's Mind
Baxter Families,
Since 1976 February has been designated Black History Month. Our hope is that our students are taking time this month to reflect on the history that African Americans have had in our country. You will find at Baxter many conversations and displays highlighting the outstanding accomplishments and positive impact that African Americans have had on our country.
As we reflect on the history of African Americans I hope that we all can show more compassion towards each other and be more respectful of ourselves and each. Let's work together to build a better a Baxter.

Testing Season
The next few months can be stressful for students and staff who are anxious about tests such as ILEARN, SAT or WIDA. We do everything we can at Baxter to make these testing situations as stress-free as possible. We encourage students to do their best and not to stress out about these testing situations the during March and April.
