Hello Mill Valley Families!
We had such a great time with all of you who participated in the Color Run. The weather was perfect and we got some great pictures! Check them out below.
Here are a few reminders about parking and our morning drop off routine...
- you are welcome to park and walk your child to door 12 (1st, 2nd, 4th grades) or door 13 (Kdg and 3rd grade)
- the doors are unlocked from 9:00am - 9:10am. If you arrive after 9:10am, please sign your child in at the office (door 1)
- please follow this map to help guide you for Parent Drop Off in the morning.

COLOR RUN
Principal Rounding
Mrs. Schrot & Mrs. Shanahan met with Mrs. Hamberger's Kindergarteners and Mr. Goelz's 1st graders. Students were engaged in an activity that promoted school community. Each class will get an opportunity to round with the principals this year.

Colder Weather is Upon Us
Please make sure your child is wearing everything they need to keep them warm at recess.
Winter coat
Hat
Gloves
Snow pants
Snow boots
Students who do not wear snow pants AND snow boots during recess will be allowed on the blacktop area only.
It is always a good idea to pack extra socks and gloves. They tend to get wet from the first recess and it’s nice to have a warm pair for second recess.
Please remember, unless the temperature or wind chill drops below zero degrees, students will enjoy two recesses each day.
PTO Halloween Dance
Halloween Parade at Mill Valley
Mark your calendars for the Halloween Parade at Mill Valley. Families are welcome to meet in the gymnasium on October 31 at 2:30 using Door 12. Students will parade throughout the school and end in the gymnasium. Following the parade, parents/families are welcome to join their child in their classroom for more Halloween fun.
Reminders about costumes:
No scary or violent costumes
No weapons
No make-up or colored hair
Please bring costumes to change into before the parade (do not wear costumes to school)

BOX TOPS
Did you know that even though each Box Top is only worth 10 cents, they do add up? Last year we earned over $1200 by collecting Box Tops! Get out your scissors and start sending in your boxtops. The class with the most Box Tops will win a special treat.
