10/26/14 #TABchat
Sunday Nights 7p.m. EST
Welcome to #TABchat
For this week's chat, we are going get in the Halloween spirit and focus on FEARS.
This weekly chat is focuses on the successes and challenges that arise when implementing this type of curriculum in the classroom. Please join and share best practice resources while building a PLN with a community of educators interested in engaging their students with methods that encourage authentic meaning-making through Art.
This week we will start out with an introduction of your name, grade level, and state. Also include what you are planning to be for Halloween (if you celebrate).
We will use a Q1, A1 format and spend about 10 minutes on each question.
Use the #TABchat in your posts so it can be archived and viewed at a later date.
Questions to Consider (each one has a creepy theme to go with it (I know, totally nerdy, but just go with it)):
2. Things that go "Boo!": What has been the most surprising thing that has happened with your classroom since transitioning to TAB or modified choice?
3. Things that haunt you: How do you deal with assessments and evaluations when implementing TAB or modified choice? How do you effectively communicate to students, parents, administration student growth and progress?
4. Things that make your skin crawl: What is something you are trying to implement in your classroom that just does not seem to be working yet? Or what was a problem that you found a solution to in your classroom?
5. Things that are no longer nightmares: How has TAB improved issues that you used to struggle with in a more traditional setting/curriculum offering?
6. What would you like to discuss in a future #TABchat?
