Tips for Teachers: October 2015
Digital Citzenship
Do you want to empower your students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world? Collaborate with your school librarian as we customize digital citizenship lessons to your specifications. Teaching digital citizenship is like driving a car - students learn how to drive a car through driver's education or someone teaching them. They learn what legal and illegal, the rules to follow and how to execute them to get from one pace to another. But out in the digital world, there is NO driver's education, no one showing the, teaching them rights from wrong. And some students make the wrong decisions. We can co-teach students digital citizenship through student-directed,s media-rich activities that tackle real-world dilemmas. Lessons have been developed with a scope and sequence. Take advantage of this great learning opportunity for you and your students! Stop by the library for a brief intro and sign up your classes.
