November Update
From Twin Hills Middle to the Homefront
Principal's Pen
Hello Panther Families-
Wow! This year is definitely going by fast. We wrapped up our first quarter last week! Whew. Look for report cards in the mail the week of November 7th.
If you haven't had a chance to see our 6th grade girls play volleyball, come see them this week for their last two games (today and Thursday at 4:15).
Just a few reminders:
Please make an effort to ALWAYS pick up your child on time from school and especially the after school events (sports, drama, clubs, etc.). This extra effort on all our parts makes it possible to have these amazing opportunities!
A huge thanks to all those who participated in our Popcorn Fundraiser! The money raised will go directly to our school to provide more engaging educational and enrichment activities for our students.
Need some See's Candy for the holidays? Our music program is doing a fundraiser! Check it out below under Spotlight on Classes.
Just a reminder, please stay connected for up to date information. Find us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) for updates regularly. Also, feel free to browse our website for more detailed information. As always, please call the office anytime with questions or concerns. We're here for you and want to help!
Sincerely,
Shawna Whitestine
Attendance Matters
Our kids have been through so much these past few years! Between fires, floods, COVID, and whatever personal issues families have tackled...our kids have missed a lot of school. We want to work with you to help bridge the gap in learning. A huge part of your child's success is just being here on campus everyday.
We know that teens and preteens wake up some days and just find getting to school a daunting task. Please know that we get it. We will work with them, sit with them, do whatever we need to make the transition easier.
Please watch this video from Attendance Works sharing why regular attendance is a benefit to your child Bringing Attendance Home

News from Our Counselor: Advisory Update
During our first round of advisory visits we asked the question “What do you want Twin Hills to be?” There were three words that rose to the top: FUN, SAFE & KIND. In consideration of those words, our second round of visits were based on the idea of being an upstander. An upstander is a person who intervenes when they see harm being done either to stop the harm or to help the person being harmed. At the end we asked each student to make a promise to stand up to harm, get a friend and stand up to harm together, or find an adult and ask for help in standing up to harm. We had each student fill out their choice on a colorful piece of paper and posted it in the display case in the upper quad. It proved to be a fun and colorful way to represent how we can help create the school community we all want!
Warmly,
Ms. Hales
School Counselor
