We are 'All-In' this Together at Mathews!
An Amazing Week at Mathews
This week was a celebration of learning at Mathews.
From our beautiful Veterans Day program and reception to our Colonial Days in 5th grade, our students were experiencing history!
Thank you to Mrs. Kraman and our students for such a beautiful program. To our PTA, we could not do it without you. The yard art, the decorations and the reception added to our genuine celebration of appreciation that our veterans so truly deserve.
Colonial Day is a memory our students cherish as part of the 5th grade experience. It could not happen though without all the volunteers to support our students and teachers as they experience this two day simulation.
Looking forward to next week as we wrap up our Mathews Can Food Donation drive while recognizing all we are grateful for in November. Let's make this last week of sharing and caring of our food drive the biggest week ever!
Looking forward to our last week before we all take off an enjoy our fall break and Thanksgiving!

Mathews Artist Shine!

Congratulations Grant Recipients!

The purpose of the grant is for a motor/sensory lab that creates a safe, unrestrained space for students to build confidence in their ability to explore the world around them. The lab will increase attention, promote social interaction, improve coordination/motor development and help students manage the tactile, visual and auditory input from their environment.
Lost and Found

We are collecting quite an assortment. Please encourage your child to check "Lost and Found" to find that jacket...we have a warmer weekend coming up but it will get chilly again soon!

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Kindness and Caring x 250!
It is also a wonderful time to teach children empathy and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Our can food drive continues to be a beautiful success. Our Mathews spirit of kindness and heart is second to none.
Our goal was to donate 250 cans. This would be the equivalent of one can donation per family. We have clearly surpassed our goal and the children are truly excited.
Let's make this last week of donations a strong one!
We look forward to a drawing at the end of November to read to classes if we reach our school-wide goal. Just like our peanut butter campaign, this is not a competition between classes, but rather a celebration of our school community working and coming together to make a difference!
Thank you for participating as a family in this meaningful act of kindness. It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to 'be the difference in the world.'
The can food drive will begin November 1 through November 22.

Mathews’ Student Council Trex Recycling Challenge
Starting November 1:
From November 1st – April 15th, Mathews’ Student Council will be hosting a plastics recycling challenge to promote environmental awareness. Please bring in clean, dry, and free of food residue plastics. Thank you for your participation and help!
