Dear D6 Families,
As COVID-19 numbers continue to rise across the entire state, I wanted to share information with our families about when to stay home and who to notify if your student is out sick or tests positive for COVID-19. Our most current COVID-19 numbers are also listed below. I have also included a link for ordering free at home COVID-19 tests.
When to stay home...
If your student has any COVID-19 like symptoms your student should stay home until they receive a negative COVID-19 test or a doctor's note stating the illness is not COVID related.
Even with a negative COVID-19 test, if your student has a fever, please keep your student home until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
Even with a negative COVID-19 test, if your student has vomited or experiencing diarrhea, please keep them home until they have gone 24 hours without vomiting or having diarrhea.
Even with a negative COVID-19 test, if your student is experiencing symptoms that make it difficult to wear a mask for the duration of the school day, please keep your student home until symptoms improve.
Who to contact?
To report absence due to illness, student being a close contact, or student testing positive for COVID-19, please contact the school nurse directly. See below for the nurse phone number at each building.
