Information for Rising 9th Graders

Right Now

We have several resources available to help students learn about the opportunities available to them! We encourage students and families to browse the resources listed below to learn about all our classes. Students are encouraged to take the next few weeks to discuss class recommendations and options with their families to help make informed decisions. Current 8th grade teachers will be talking with students about their academic options and recommendations over the next couple weeks.

Coming Up Next

The high school counselors are preparing recorded videos with this information that will be specific to each grade level. We plan to email those to students and families during the first week of February. It will be important for all students to view this grade-level presentation.

Families will receive a mailing in early February with step-by-step instructions for online scheduling. This will be sent prior to the online scheduling window.

After students enter their course selections online, counselors will meet with students one-on-one to review those requests and answer all questions. We will help to make sure all requests match graduation requirements and meet students interest and goals. This will be done both in-person and virtually so that each students can meet with their counselor to discuss and review their selections.
