It's officially DECEMBER. What a wonderful month where we get to focus on God's greatest gift to us. Our focus for the month of December is that each one of our students is a blessing.

The students in the above picture are our 6 students of the week. They were Made By God so They are chosen!!! We will be celebrating them all week long.

Remember, as fans, we represent New Horizon Christian School and what our school stands for. I know it's easy to get wrapped up into a game and see things that we don't agree with, but we need to remember many coaches are volunteer and, most of the time, officials are doing their best to make fair calls. Also know, that if you are ejected from a game by an official you will not be allowed to the attend the next 2 games per SIJHSAA rules and regulations. If you are ejected twice, you will have a 5 game suspension. If you are ejected 3 times, you will not be allowed to attend any extra curricular activities at NHCS the remainder of the year.

As we prepare for the upcoming Christmas program, “God’s Grand Masterpiece.” We want to prepare you for some costume props the students will need. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are excited for this production to come together and ultimately honor God.

Kindergarten: Camo ( feel free to dress it up)

1st Grade: island/tropical vibes

2nd Grade: Dress Clothes

3rd Grade: Mrs. Stevens shared a letter with needed attire.

4th Grade: a red top with black pants or a skirt

5th Grade: painter's attire (smocks, painter's pallet, paint splattered clothes, etc.)

6th Grade: neon colored top and black pants or skirt

7th Grade: Mrs. Hyde will let them know.

8th Grade: Mrs. Hyde will let them know.

Feel free to reach out to myself or your child's classroom teacher if you have any questions.

Please send your child to school with winter attire. We will take students outside for recess if the real feel temperature is 40 degrees or above. They need to run around and get some fresh air.

If weather gets bad and school needs to be canceled for everyone's safety, we will make the decision as soon as we can to allow you to make child care arrangements. We will post on Facebook, email, and through OneCallNow(our texting service).

NHCS will be participating in Centralia Elks Hoop Shoot. We will have our own school contest to see who will advance to Centralia High School Contest on December 10th.

2 students from each age category both male and female will advance to the next round.

The CHS band/choir will perform for us on Thursday, December 8th. The performance will feature the rock band, jazz band and choir.
