Crest View News

As you read in the Mindful Monday this week, due to decreased enrollment and budget impacts related to COVID-19 we are losing some wonderful members of our Crest View team. I know many of you will want to reach out to: Moriah Evans (ESL), Tremen Fenner (SPED), Jeff Hillis (K), Lisa Rodriguez (ESL), and Emily Schroeder (1st). Gini Esparza (FRS) who many of you have worked with over the years was furloughed by the City of Boulder and is waiting to hear about City funding and if she can join us next year again. Jess Bracken, our Assistant Principal for the past 3 years will be moving to Monarch K-8 in Louisville for a new adventure in administration. We wish them all well and will miss them greatly.

Also, we are happy to welcome Roy Holloway as our new Assistant Principal and look forward to our students and families getting to know him.

Summer Office Hours

Beginning next week and through June 3rd, Deann, Elena, and Lily will continue to be available and checking voicemails Monday-Thursday (except for Memorial Day). Class Pictures

Before schools were closed about half of our classes had their class pictures taken. Sadly the other half were scheduled for Friday when the lockdowns began. After communicating with Hoffer Photo we learned that their printing lab is also closed. If you purchased a class picture and a picture was taken we will receive those in the fall. Depending on what precautions are in place at that time this plan may change and we will keep you informed. If you paid for a picture but your child’s class picture was not taken you can contact Hoffer Photo at or 303-604-2527 for a refund. If you have any questions please reach out to Deann at

Boulder Universal Special Enrollment

Families wishing to pursue enrolling their students in online learning only for 2020-21 may do so by submitting a request to attend Boulder Universal. This opportunity is open to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is a one year enrollment. Enrollment for these students will revert to back to the original school for the 2020-21 school year. This means students will not have to give up their seat at their current school in order to attend BU for 20-21 as is required by the normal OE process. There are more details and the link to the request form on our website here.

5th Grade Food Drive

Congratulations to our 5th grade families! As one more act of kindness they organized a 5th grade food drive and collected 422 pounds of food for EFAA!
