Summer 2017 Updates
Greetings!
I hope that you are having a great summer and taking time to relax and rejuvenate with family and friends! I hope you have also found time to enjoy a few good books! Luckily, I have managed to read a few. I've just finished two books by Chuck Palahniuk, Diary and Haunted.
Because of some scheduling conflicts, we will not to have a meeting during the work days in August. But I would encourage you to take advantage of some of the optional professional learning opportunities that are being offered on August 16th and 17th. I will share those sessions with you soon.
I have decided to try a couple of new things with our meetings this year:
- We will alternate between full staff and grade span meetings each month.
- The full staff meetings will be used for updates and reminders.
- The grade span meetings will be collaborative work and sharing sessions.
We won't have a specific PD focus this year. Instead I hope that you can use our meeting days to catch up and collaborate.
Please add our meeting dates to your calendar. They are listed below.
I look forward to seeing you all soon! (And welcoming some new members to our team!)
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Christy
