Stevens Counseling Newsletter
2022-2023
The John Paul Steven's Guidance and Counseling Department will provide a comprehensive developmental program addressing the whole child to maximize academic achievement, social and emotional development, and post-secondary college, career and military readiness. We cover the four components of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program:
① guidance curriculum: skill-based classroom lessons
② individual planning: two student meetings to plan a student's educational/career goals
③ responsive services: individual student meetings addressing social/emotional concerns
④ system supports: students services indirectly benefiting students via other programs
Small Group Counseling
Small group counseling is provided throughout the school year. During these groups students will discuss topics like coping skills, problem solving, relationships, and grief to name a few. Students interested in group counseling can email their counselor or come by the Counseling Office.
Food Pantry
We are still providing additional food assistance for students who need it. Continue to fill out the google form.
