MCES WEEKLY TOP FIVE FOR PARENTS
UPDATES AND REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 29
A MESSAGE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM
The staff at Montclair Elementary School are excited about the transition to Plan A(face-to-face) learning. As we head towards Spring Break, the Administration Team would like to remind you of a few important details before we come back on Monday, April 12.
Please continue to check your child's email address because the Administration Team will be sharing vital information. Leadership will be sending updates about their class schedules, transportation information, and other matters that would be affected during our change. Additionally, if you are not following us on all our social media pages, please take this time to follow and subscribe to our Facebook, Twitter, Classdojo, and Youtube page.
April 1 has been revised to be an asynchronous/independent remote learning day for students as a reminder. It will be a required workday for staff to finalize Plan A preparations before leaving for Spring Break. Friday, April 2, is a Student/Staff Holiday. The following week will be Spring Break for all Cumberland County Students from April 5-9. During this time, please continue to encourage your child to practice the 3Ws as we get ready to come back in-person the following Monday. Please be noted that a face mask is the only acceptable face covering for in-person learning. After Spring Break, all student-in-person learners need to report to school on Monday, April 12, 2021; students will return to a four-day week in-person schedule. Wednesdays will remain asynchronous for all students, and teachers will be focusing on planning and might unavailable during this day. No live instruction will take place on Wednesdays.
Finally, all parents who have opted for in-person learning must complete the Qualtrics Symptom daily screener every morning before the student arrives on campus. Parents must complete the screener per child in their household. Please check Classdojo and be on the lookout for a daily reminder via Parentlink because the Administration Team will be sending the link to help families access it quickly. Completing the screener allows us to maintain the safety of the staff and students while in the building at Montclair and enables the screening process to go fast and effectively. The screener also ensures that we keep all students safe as they are being transported to school on the buses. During Plan A, Mr. Gillespie will maintain documentation of the symptom screener. A loss of bus privileges may result from those families who repeatedly fail to complete the screener. Please remember that our number one focus is on student safety.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns for administrators, please feel free to click on our Webex linked to this page's bottom. If not, we encourage you to have a Terrific Tuesday.
