HEARTS (School Climate & Community)
Up your SEL Game these Last few Months & Avoid Spring Fever!
2) You should have daily SEL blocks scheduled including circles to build community and resolve conflicts. Build this into your schedule and then you will always have a place held for this important work.
3) Set some goals around tools as you go through the next several weeks to help students prepare for their next grade.
Are there too many minor conflicts? Re-teach and positively reinforce the Garbage Can Tool. Students not being kind? Re-teach and positively reinforce the Empathy tool.
In your Toolbox Primer, there are activities and suggestions for each tool. Take the time to continue building this part of your program as you go through the spring.
SEL time can also be movement and dance and singing and fun! This is not the time of year when any of us need punishing and lecturing!
Spring Fever!

Tech Issues? Mr. Miller's Here to Help!
Hello All,
I've created a google form to help me keep track of technology issues. A few issues have come up that were apparently going on for a while and we'd like to avoid that in the future. Please use the link to the google form below to bring any technology issues to my attention. This also includes any damaged or missing chromebooks. Thanks.
Cheers,
John

Everything You Wanted to Know about Glenview, but Were Afraid to Ask....
Let's Have Fun this Week, Get Outside, and Move Those Kids!
I encourage you to get outside and have fun with your kids (but remember, unstructured extended free play leads to conflict....so....)
One of the best Tier I strategies you can do in your classroom is to increase MOVEMENT! It will make you and your kids feel better.
Check out the many suggested games in the Playworks guidebook:
