To cast your ballot, you must be a registered voter and reside in the Yorktown Central School District. You can register up until five days before the vote. For more information on how to register, please visit our website.
To provide transparency and clarity on the budget, the District has been conducting a series of presentations at Board of Education meetings since February. The presentations are accessible on the District's website and you can also watch the meetings on our YouTube channel.
If you would like more information about the budget, we encourage you to read Dr. Hattar's letter, which includes highlights of the budget

The Board of Education has two vacancies for full three-year terms. Candidates are, in order of ballot appearance, Conrad D. McKenzie, Catalina Tyndal, Mike Magnani, and Ronald Fedele.
The community is invited to attend a "Meet the Candidates Night" on Wednesday, May 10th, at 7 p.m. The forum will be held at Mildred E. Strang Middle School and is being moderated by the District PTSA. A video replay will be available the following day on the District's YouTube channel.

Crompond Fifth Graders Showcase ESTEAM Projects

Crompond students enjoy making connections — with wires and with each other.
It was wonderful to see our fifth-grade students speak so passionately and expertly about their tech-based ESTEAM projects at the April 24 Board of Education meeting.
From writing persuasive arguments to developing prototypes, this grade-level effort offered every student a unique opportunity to tap into their creativity and empathy through the use of Makey Makey kits.
As one student said, “We used the engineer-design process to create projects that will help others in need. Integrating empathy and technology is important to help us understand the world. By using technology to connect with others, we learn about different perspectives, solve problems, spread kindness, and we can make a positive impact on the world around us.”
Read all about these incredible projects on the District's website.
