This message is a reminder/follow up regarding your required graduation project. PAHS students complete their graduation project in 11th grade. Our graduation project is a career based portfolio consisting of various state mandated career ready activities along with a career presentation.
Students will earn a pass or fail for this graduation project and this grade will be included on your 3rd marking period report card.
The school counselors have been working with the students since 9th grade to complete these activities. At this point, 7 out of the 8 activities should be completed. Students with missing activities have been notified of their missing activities during their 1:1 scheduling meeting with their counselor. Your 8th and final activity is your career presentation scheduled to take place on March 8th.
Students are asked to review their Naviance accounts to ensure that they have the required activities completed.
Please remember you must hand in your completed career chart on 3/8 to the teacher you are presenting to and you must upload your PowerPoint presentation to your CAREER EXPLORATION CLASS in canvas by 3/8.
If you have specific questions about missing career ready activities, please reach out to your school counselor or Mrs. Bhalla, College and Career Counselor (bhallam@pasd.com)
UN Trip - Women in Science
On February 10th, 32 students from PAHS attended the 8th International Women and Girls in Science Assembly at the UN in NYC. The Assembly addressed the need for increased participation by women in science. In addition, the Assembly focused on the challenges and potential solutions to creating a more sustainable society. With royalty and high-level diplomats present, it was a certainly a memorable experience that provided us with new scientific knowledge and a better sense of how international diplomacy works.
