MacBook Air Tips & Tricks
Optimize Display Setting - When connected to a SMART Board the MacBook Air display setting automatically changes to be optimized for your Smart Board. This causes the display on your laptop to look large, and all may not fit on the screen. Once you unplug from the SMART Board your laptop display will go back to normal. You can manually change this setting so that the display will stay optimized for your laptop even when plugged into a SMART Board. From the desktop:
Apple (top left)-->System Preferences-->Display-->Optimize for-->Select Built in Display.
Note: Using this display setting will make your SMART Board display a little bit smaller. Always calibrate your SMART Board after you change the display settings.
Power - While at your desk please keep your laptop plugged into the docking stations power adapter. Running on battery will cause the laptop display to turn off much more quickly than when running on power.
Printing- You may see a few slight differences when printing to the I-Queue. Click here for cheat sheet!
