CSE Mini Spartan Weekly
Your Once-a-Week Update from Cold Spring Elementary
1.12.18
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings from CSE,
Welcome back to CSE in 2018. The school year continues to move along and here we are in 2018.
One of the big changes for the 2018 return is the implementation of the Raptor System for Visitor Management. See the video below for an explanation. This system has been in place at RHS since the beginning of the school year. When coming to school, and visiting our academic wings, you will need to sign in with the Raptor System. The school office personnel will be there to assist you. The biggest change is the need to bring a government issued ID for check in.
Want to be more involved in school? A parent volunteer opportunity is coming up! See the notice below!
We look forward to finishing out the year with you in partnership!
Sincerely,
Dr. Eric Skanson

#CSESTRONG Class of The Week!
Second Grade Team Torborg
I have the opportunity to see all classes at CSE and while I am impressed with the behaviors and attitudes of all classes, I am particularly surprised at the amount of respect and discipline Mrs. Torborg's class has. Every four days Mrs. Torborg's class walks quietly into my room and calmly sits down on the mats without being prompted. I greet them at the door and usually say a few words to Mrs. Torborg. When I enter the classroom you can seriously hear a pin drop! Everyone sits down perfectly and does not say a peep. They have done this since day one. I have NEVER prompted them to do this - it is just an automatic thing for this class. I strongly feel the need to nominate them because not only are they so disciplined in walking into my room and starting class, but these kids are SO sweet. The amount of respect in that class is incredible. They fill my bucket every time I see them! They listen well, ask amazing questions, and truly care about learning all things music. I'm thrilled to nominate such a great class - they are well deserving of this award! :)
