Inspirational Quote
“We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers - but never blame yourself. It's never your fault...
"But it's always your fault because if you wanted to change you're the one who has got to change."
Katharine Houghton Hepburn (1907-2003) - an American actress known for her fierce independence and spirited personality and was a leading lady in Hollywood for more than 60 years.

Accelerated Reader Available at the Public Library This Summer!
Our Accelerated Reader License has been extended for use throughout the summer. Now St. Paul students will be able to take AR quizzes at your local public library. This includes both the Southwest Regional Branch and the Shively Branch.
Students who use this service can gather points that can be used for next year's reading goals. The more you read, the more points you earn!

From Library/Computer Lab to Learning Commons Renovation - Summer 2015
- Our library and computer lab are becoming a learning commons.
- The design and implementation of the new library will transform our traditional library and computer lab spaces into one space that fosters learning and communication, a space for what students need now and what the school could envision for the future.
- Not only will the new space embrace the concept of a learning commons, it also will thoughtfully merge the best of the physical and digital worlds, including paper books and physical artifacts, as well as flexible furniture and an open environment. Digital content encourages students to explore, play and delve deeper into subjects they may not otherwise experience.
App of the Week - Moby Max
- MobyMax is a FREE, complete curriculum for K-8 Math and ELA (reading, vocabulary, language, and writing) that includes progress monitoring, systematic review, IEP, and reporting on Common Core standards.
- MobyMax finds and fixes missing skills, resulting in an average of 1.5 grade levels of growth after just 40 hours of use.
- MobyMax also includes classroom tools such as Messenger, Vibes, Clicker, The Wall, Contests, Games, Badges, Goals, Certificates, Parent Portal, and Printable Worksheets!
- MobyMax is for all students. Moby's adaptive curriculum creates a unique, individualized education plan for each student, allowing gifted students to progress as quickly as they like while simultaneously ensuring that remedial students get the extra instruction they need. You've never experienced differentiation like this in the classroom.
