Psychology A Course Update
September 3, 2013
Greetings Parents and Students,
Wow, I can't believe it is September already. I hope that everyone enjoyed a nice long holiday weekend. The 18 week schedule is well under way, the 16 week schedule just had their first bi-weekly due date, and the 14 week schedule starts today. Please read this newsletter for important information regarding your Psychology A course.
Follow Your Schedule
Please continue to follow your course schedule for assignments and due dates. You should be logging into the course every day and turning in assignments in as they appear on the schedule to maximize your learning opportunity.
Grades are Updated!
Please note that grades have been updated as of this weekend. All work that was due by Friday's benchmark has been graded and zeros have been entered for work that has not been submitted. If your grade is below passing you will be receiving a phone call shortly.
Late Work Policy
If an assignment was due and you have not turned it in, please refer to the GaVS Late Work Policy below. You still have a chance to submit the assignment for a late grade.
1 day -10%
2 days -20%
3 days -30%
4 days -40%
5 days -50%
Assignments submitted after 5 days past the due date will not be graded.
16 Week Schedule and the Foundations Test
Students working on the 16 week schedule need to add the Foundations Test to Wednesday September 4, 2013. Please be sure you take this assessment before moving on to the next module.
